Winner of of best Screenplay Award at the Tribeca Festival, this film follows few familiar patterns of Cohen Brother style film making. Even posters have a retro look. The story follows the entangled lives of two sisters and their dark secret. It doesn't break any new ground, but its a strong debut feature and felt fresh. The all inclusive female casting takes precedence in this part crime, part dark humor setup which never loses its plot where the fishing town secrets are slowly revealed. The musical score is damn impressive and its a good addition to Amazon's collection. And the pay off was in the climax, i was least expecting that. The fishing choir "Blow the Man Down" is worth your time for its originality. Go for it. Verdict - 3.5/5(The oldies game)
