This one from the debutant film maker Girish A D, is an ode to adolescence and takes us back to memorable school days. The teenage guys performance were exemplary and natural. Jaison character played by Mathew Thomas and his love interest played by Anaswara Rajan is the future stars to watch out for. The organic comedy and timing of the one-liners were pitch perfect. I practically laughed out loud during the first half and it was an really entertaining 45 minutes. The musical score really sets the mood of the film. Then enters Vineeth S as a Malayalam teacher which is going to make the love failure life of Jaison more difficult. At the start i felt this was going in Taare Zameen Par way. He did overact for sure and some sequence involving him were really a let down. The last few minutes were just forgettable as the story became weak. Barring those hiccups this one is clean and neat entertainer and you will come out with a big smile. This one is a perfect example of simple story told in a realistic and fun way. Verdict - 3.5/5(A Sweet WaterMelon)
