Netflix is known from bringing some real surprises every now and then. And here comes one little gem of a mini series and its a true-crime drama. The basis of the premise is inspired by two articles "An Unbelievable Story of Rape" and "Anatomy of Doubt". The winner here is the script backed by some solid performance. Very rarely i see all the actors perform with this level of authenticity. Its a controlled emotional series which is superbly crafted around the most sensitive subject of Rape and how the victims live their rest of the life. Every woman in this is sharp, strong, and showcases the feminine power beautifully. This to me a perfect binge-watching drama. The series has two story lines. First one is about two lead detectives (Emmy winners Toni Collette and Merritt Wever) pairing up to find the culprit. The second one focus on the harrowing account of victim stories with grace and gravity. How they mixes this with the investigation forms the crux of the story line. Unbelievable isn’t light viewing and its an uncompromising take on injustice. It soars high on how to heal from the trauma and its a different take on #MeToo story. A must watch.

Verdict - 4/5(The Aftermath)
