Knives Out - A delicious whodunit revival on screen

Updated: Nov 30, 2019

Hands down, this is one of the best entertaining and a nostalgic experience i got to see from Hollywood this year. If you are a fan of Agatha Christie and Alfred Hitchcock, then you are going to love this film much more. Its a perfectly twisted, wildly funny which follows the foot steps of old school Whodunit mystery. Like a typical Christie work, you get to watch the action unfold in a big house when a rich old man was found dead. And every one is suspect and every one have something to hide.

And there comes Daniel Craig reminiscent of Poirot, to determine what happened at a given place and time by deduction and interrogation. This is an original concept with an outstanding ensemble cast to support this kind eccentric suspense thriller. Toward the pre climax, the intrigue loses a bit of sheen as i felt the car chase was bit unnecessary piece. But i can't complain much, as i really enjoyed a Hollywood movie after a long long time. Kudos to the writer and director Rian Johnson for giving us a entertaining, very well-written and a fun to watch murder mystery. It all felt like a fresh-looking from the start to almost finishing line, with an intoxicating atmosphere and some terrific background score to amplify the suspense. Dont miss it.

Verdict - 4/5(A tribute to Agatha Christie)
