This series is based on popular French character Arsene Lupin, often referred to as the French equivalent of Sherlock Holmes is a great start for this year. Omar Sy (know for The Intouchables movie) plays the titular french pop culture thief who is determined to bring down a political big shot.
It nicely combines mystery, drama, action with plenty of small twists throughout even though some of the tricks may seem over the top and defies logic. The back and forth flashbacks and chemistry of the lead characters make the show a promising watch. A fast paced music leads the way in this little adventure journey which takes a classic and at times a predictable route of revenge. Stream it for this Gentleman Thief.
